Adoption
Paw Community Cares
In partnership with the City of Lacy Lakeview and other pet rescues in Central Texas, Paw Community is dedicated to helping homeless dogs find their forever homes.
Adoption Services & Fees:
Adoption fees vary from $15 to $200, based on factors like age, size, and length of stay. These fees help cover a portion of the pet’s care costs during their stay with us. Each adoption includes one free dog wash and a two-week membership to our dog park.
Adoption Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Provide current identification showing your address. If your ID is outdated, a recent utility bill will suffice.
- If the pet has not yet been spayed or neutered, it will remain at Paw Community until this is completed.
Adoption Process
1. Visit with Your Household:
Bring every member of your household to Paw Community during our operating hours. Note: The last meet and greet is 45 minutes before closing. Without all household members present, you can meet a dog, but adoption can only proceed after a full household visit.
2. Meet with a Paw Crew Staff Member:
A staff member will discuss your home, family, activity level, and lifestyle to find a suitable match. Our focus is on matching pets with families based on energy and personality compatibility, not just breed or appearance.
3. Sign Your Adoption Contract:
Provide your email, cell phone number, and ID to our staff, who will send you the adoption contract to sign digitally on your phone.
4. Take Your Pawsome Adoption Picture:
Once the adoption is finalized, we’ll take a celebratory photo of your family with your new pet for our social media and website.
